ArcGIS Server for Developers
ArcGIS Server allows you to build a number of different types of applications that take advantage of ArcObjects running within a server environment. This session will review the steps required to create configure services, then moves on to cover the fundamental programming practices and rules that should be followed in order to build ArcGIS Server applications. Once fully understood, these principles can be used to build more advanced applications such as those that take full advantage of the Application Developer Framework (ADF).
The topics covered will include
- An overview of the ArcGIS Server product
- The ArcGIS Server architecture
- Developing ArcGIS Server applications
- Configuring server objects
- Accessing server objects
- Best practices for working with ArcObjects in a server
- Examples of ArcGIS Server applications
Audience: All developers interested in developing with ArcGIS Server

Developing Applications with ArcGIS Engine
ArcGIS Engine is a developer toolkit that includes a rich set of software components and tools that can be used to build custom desktop GIS applications. This seminar will show developers how to use the ArcGIS Engine Developer Kit to create and deploy their own custom ArcGIS Engine applications. Developers will learn about the types of applications that can be created, what ArcObjects libraries and APIs are available, supported development environments and platforms, and how to deploy these applications to end users.
Audience: Developers who are required to build applications using ArcGIS Engine
