Scandinavian MOUSE & MIKE NET User Group Meeting
Monday Nov. 8, 18.00 – 21.00

The User Group Meeting will be held at DHI in Hørsholm - approximately 30 min drive from the conference center. Complimentary transportation between the conference venue and DHI will be provided and a light meal will be served at DHI.

Participation in the user group meeting is free, but we need an indication of the number of participants and how many of you that need transportation - please send a mail to hsa@dhi.dk if you plan to attend.

The main topic of the User Group Meeting will be:
- User comments and questions about MOUSE/MIKE NET.
- Introduction to MIKE URBAN.
- Rlease procedures for MIKE URBAN - Who gets what and what are the costs
- Development plans for the future 12 months.
- Release plans for the future 12 months.


Urban Modeling and GIS
Tuesday Nov. 9, Morning Session:

Presentations of Scandinavian project experience within the use of GIS and modeling in the water and wastewater industry. The presentations include experience within:

  • Master planning
  • Network rehabilitation – including automatic pipe sizing
  • Urban flooding – including advanced 2D modeling
  • Interaction between sewer systems, ground water and surface water

Learn to use MIKE URBAN
Tuesday Nov. 9, Afternoon Session:

MIKE URBAN is a new ArcGIS based modeling suite covering water and wastewater. For the first time, GIS and modeling of water and wastewater is fully integrated into one set of tools.
The 3 hour training session will highlight the benefits of GIS for modelers and vice versa. The training will include topics such as:

  • GIS based model building and management
  • Scenario management and model versioning
  • Data models and data management
  • Result presentation, visualisation, mapping
  • Practical examples of water and wastewater modeling

The training will be in lecture format.

Water Resources Modeling and GIS
Wednesday Nov. 10, Morning Session

Two sessions on practical water resources modeling and GIS. The presentations will focus on these two themes:

Water Framework Directive
Practical applications of modeling and GIS in the implementation of the European WFD

Flooding
How modeling and GIS is helping towards the reduction of the risks and effects of flooding
